Interrogating the dependence of selfhood on memory—what remains of “I” when memory fails?—Quinn paints directly onto a mirror so that the viewer’s shifting reflection becomes part of the work. The unstable, reflective substrate literalises the thesis: identity is contingent, flickering with recall and forgetting.
