The Becoming series is one of Quinn’s most radical investigations, where destruction—through breaking, dismantling, burning, or erosion—serves as a vehicle for transformation. Sculptures shift from one state into another, destabilised through installation, moving image, and performative acts enacted by non-human agents. In these processes of rupture and renewal, Quinn reframes sculpture not as a static object but as a living cycle, compelling audiences to reflect on philosophical questions of life, death, and existence.
